Michael Essien will play for Chelsea legends game against Real Madrid legends at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on 23 June 23 in a charity match.

The midfielder will be facing one of his former clubs after featuring for the Spanish giants during the 2012-2013 season.

Essien recently signed for Azerbaijani side FC Sabail to postpone his retirement.

Ghana-born ex-France international, Marcel Desailly will play for the Blues alongside Eidur Gudjohnsen and Ricardo Carvalho among others.

The 10th edition of the annual Corazon Classic Match would also see players such as Raul, Roberto Carlos, Steve McManaman, Alvaro Arbeloa, Luis Figo, Fernando Redondo, and Zinedine Zidane as names likely to feature for the Los Blanco.
