Ghana Premier League side WAFA SC beat third-tier side Emmanuel FC 1-0 at the WAFA Stadium in Sogakope in the MTN FA Cup round of 16 on Friday in Sogakope.
Defender Caleb Amankwah scored the only goal of the match in the first half on six minutes.
The Academy Boys are now through to the last eight of the tournament.
They will know their opponents for the next stage at a draw later this month.
Also on Friday, Wa Rockets beat Asokwa Deportivo 1-0 to progress to the quarter-final.
