Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari will make his first start for AC Milan on Sunday when they take on Cesena in Serie A clash.

The 27-year-old moved to Milan from cross-city rivals, Inter Milan, on the deadline day of the January transfer window.

The midfielder joined the club this week after representing his country in the African Nations Cup recently.

AC Milan coach  Massimilliano Allegri says he will give the Ghanaian his first start when they play Cesena on Sunday.

“He’ll play from the first minute,” Allegri said when asked about the chances of Muntari featuring in the game.

The former Udinese star joined Inter Milan from Portsmouth in 2008 for approximately 14 million Euros.

However, after making an early impact at San Siro, the 27-year-old was left on the sidelines.

Muntari could not find adequate first-team opportunities under any manager in the recent past.

The central-midfielder went onto score seven goals in 70 appearances for the Nerazzurri.

He was also part of the 2009/10 treble winning squad of Jose Mourinho.
