After finishing as a runner up on several occasions, Marek Hamsik hopes Napoli will win Serie A soon.
The Partenopei pushed Juventus close this year but the defending champions proved too strong yet it did not stop Hamsik imaging what it would have been like if Napoli had been crowned champions.
“I think if we win the Scudetto then maybe Vesuvius would erupt again,” Hamsik told reporters. “It would be crazy, it would be one big party in the city.
“When we won the Coppa Italia, thousands of fans waited for us in the piazza. I can’t even imagine what would happen with a Scudetto.
“If we win the Scudetto one day, I’ll get a tattoo of it on my leg to add to my collection.”
Napoli finish the Serie A season with games against Torino and Frosinone as they look to secure second place in Serie A and automatic qualification to the Champions League.
