Napoli fans banned from travelling to Juventus fixture

The potentially crucial fixture in the race for the Scudetto between Juventus and Napoli on February 13 will take place with the away section of the stadium closed.

The Turin authorities have announced that the sale of tickets to all away fans will be prohibited.

“By the order of the prefect of Turin, travel will be forbidden even for holders of the fan card,” read an official statement on Napoli’s website.

“The authorities have ruled that the sale of tickets to fans resident in the region of Campania will be banned and the away section will be closed for fan card holders.”

The decision was reportedly reached as Juve fans are frequently prevented from travelling to Naples in order to prevent trouble although the Napoli fan club in Bologna are attempting to contest the decision.

It is possible that Partenopei fans who live in the region of Piedmont will be able to bypass the ruling.
