To celebrate his 34th birthday, Orestis Karnezis spoke from the training camp sharing thoughts on his experience of Napoli as well as the city of Naples.
He said: "The passion of the Neapolitans is truly unique. Our dream is to win something big.
"I thank everyone for their birthday wishes. The fans make you feel important and give you a huge boost, which helps us train to the absolute full, in order to repay this affection.
"I am honoured to be part of this group because it is made up of guys who are friends first and foremost, and professionals second. This is key if you want to achieve results.
"This year we can be certain, even with the changes to the stadium, that people will come en masse to the San Paolo and will give us that boost we need to go far."
Commenting on the arrival of fellow countryman Kostas Manolas, he added: "I have to say that I know Manolas well and he is a great defender. The club is working to strengthen the squad and we already have a quality group that wants to be even more competitive.
"I believe that a partnership of Manolas and Koulibaly could be one of the very best – I think they will be able to instil calm for us goalkeepers and the team as a whole."
Meanwhile, on the passion and desire for victory in the city of Naples, the goalkeeper said: "In my first year I realised how much this city lives with such passion for football.
"They are similar to the Greeks in the way they show great warmth towards the team.
"Here I feel at home precisely because of that unique and special affection the fans are able to convey. We will give everything to make our fans happy."
