Nyantakyi hits the ground running over Ghana FA reforms

Ghana Football Association boss Kwesi Nyantakyi will hit the ground running this week as he seeks to fulfil his promise improving football in the country.

Sir Dave Richards chairman of the English FA Premier League will arrive in the country on Friday to hold a meeting with stakeholders on improving the Ghana top-flight league, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 43-year-old, who was re-elected for a second-term in office on Friday, promised to take key decision to help to solve the problems affecting the game.

Clubs owners and key football decision makers will meet Sir Richards to brainstorm on helping to improve the standards and interest in the local league and attendance.

Nyantakyi along with his deputy Fred Pappoe will this week personally take charge of the nationality switch issue of ex-Norway U21 international goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey.

The GFA boss will also continue with his vision of using football as a force for good causes in the country with a charitable visit of the Upper West Region on Wednesday.

The Black Stars have supported various charitable projects including eradicating malaria and support to some orphanages.

While Nyantakyi await the election of the new executive committee in two months’ time, he will be limited in taking major policy decisions.
