Nyantakyi in crunch meeting with Kevin Prince Boateng in Italy

Kwesi Nyantakyi arrived in Italy on Wednesday morning to talk with Kevin Prince Boateng over his international future, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Ghana FA boss was accompanied by assistant Black Stars coach to discuss and find a lasting solution over the AC Milan midfielder’s recent attitude towards the national team.

The two men travelled fromLondonon Wednesday with the blessing of coach Goran Stevanovic who has been unhappy over the player’s conduct towards the Black Stars.

Nyantakyi and Appiah are expected to discuss the concerns of the player while conscious not to infuriate some players of the Black Stars who are also unhappy with Boateng’s conduct.

It is not known what will be discussed at the meeting butGhanaare seeking to deploy their best players at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations where they will be seeking to win the tournament.

Stevanovic has been unhappy with Boateng after he failed to turn up for their scheduled meeting inMilanafter the coach travelled to the European country.

He failed to return the coach’s calls which seem to have resulted in the decision to exclude him from the squad until these differences are sorted out.

But officials are cautious with their approach as many players of the Black Stars have quietly expressed their worries over the German-born player’s commitment.

There are fears that if he is treated with kid gloves, it could spark a revolt from the other players who have been punished for being errant.

Boateng is not the favourite of many fans who have questioned why he avoids difficult matches for the Black Stars.

The midfielder has rejected these accusations insisting he is committed to the cause.

The Ghana FA boss and coach Stevanovic insist they must send the country’s best players to the Cup of Nations but they must not compromise on team discipline.
