OFFICIAL - Claudio RANIERI named new Sampdoria boss

Published on: 13 October 2019

After having sacked Eusebio Di Francesco, who lasted 7 national league games long, scoring only one victory, together with six defeats, Sampdoria announced having signed almost 68-year old Italian trainer Claudio Ranieri as new first-team manager. Previously training a lot of prestigious clubs, including Juventus, Inter Milan, Chelsea, AS Monaco, Atletico Madrid, and Valencia, Ranieri, especially famous for his epochal 2015/16 Premier League win as Leicester City gaffer, had already replaced Di Francesco last season, at AS Roma, leading on the team from March to the end of May.
