Oman's 'B' certificate course concludes

Muscat: An AFC ‘B’ Coaching Certificate Course has concluded in the Omani capital city of Muscat.

The 20-day course covered various modules including team-building, coaches' duties, the role of team captains and goalkeepers, techniques and tactics, principles of attack, defence, games observation and analyses, nutrition, psychology and physiology.

One of the participants, Salem Saltan Mubark Al Najashi, said: “The course gave the participants a lot of knowledge and experience theoretically and practically. My ambition in the future is to start the next course for the ‘A’ certificate as soon as possible and not to stop improving at this point. We coaches needs to put a big effort in our development and and I am willing to do that.”

Another participant, Sa’eed Al Shown Al Raqadi, had these comments: “Thanks to the effort by the instructors, we benefitted a lot from the practical and theoretical sessions. We also managed to apply all the exercises which we studied.”

Farooq Abdulla Al Alawi added: “To me, all courses have benefits, however, this course in particular is special in terms of techniques. New ideas and ways in communicating with the players also emerged, all because of this course”.

The course was instructed by Fahad Ahmed Al Mukharreq from Bahrain.
