Osei-Tutu Agyemang has been removed as the chairman of the Ghana FA Referees Committee per recommendations made by the Ethics Committee, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The Executive Committee member loses his position as a result of comments made suggesting an abuse of his office.

A voice recording of Agyemang appears to have revealed his complicity in a scheme to use his office as Referees Committee chairman to help teams in Asahnti Region where he is the RFA Chairman in their various domestic competitions.

Agyemang popularly known as 'Kotoro' made specific reference to Asante Kotoko where he appeared to have confirmed his role in influencing referees in tilting results in favour of the Kumasi-based club.

A Ghana FA Ethics Committee hearing on Tuesday found Agyemang guilty of the charge of misconduct and have thus made recommendations to the Executive Committee for his immediate removal.

Osei-Tutu Agyemang however retains his place on the prestigious Executive Committee.
