Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has dubbed Paulo Dybala the next Lionel Messi and believes he is worth â¬100 million.
The Argentine departed for Juventus in the summer and his twelve goals have helped propel the Old Lady to within touching distance of Serie A leaders Napoli.
“I think he is worth â¬100 million, Dybala is the young Messi,” Zamparini asserted.
“I sold him for â¬32 million then there is a further eight in add ons, so that equals up to â¬40 million.
“And when I decided to sell him there was talk of scandal, now instead they say that [Giuseppe] Marotta is a legend.”
Zamparini also quashed rumours that a percentage of Dybala’s transfer fee was paid to a South American prosecutor.
“No, it’s bullshit,” Zamparini added.
“FIFA has already outlawed this type of deal, you can not legally own the rights of a player.”
