Performance of Ghanaian Players Abroad: Gyan returns from injury,  Schlupp maintains fine form, Mohammed Lamine scores for Trencin

European football specialist, Herbert Boakye Yiadom brings to you first installment on how Ghanaian players performed in abroad on Friday and Saturday in their respective clubs across Europe and the world.

As the International break approaches Ghanaian players abroad will be hoping their performances will impress the technical team of the Black Stars

I start off with Asamoah Gyan who saw some few minutes of action for Kayerispor in their 2-2 draw against Beskitas as he made a return from injury

Jeffrey Schlupp continued with his fine form for Crystal Palace as they defeated Burnley by 3-1. Schlupp has been rewarded for his performances as he has been adjudged Crystal Palace player of the month for February

Mohammed Lamine also scored his first goal for Slovakian side Trencin in their 1-1 draw with Podbrezová on Saturday.

I bring to you a bring down of how the players fared on Friday and Saturday

ENGLAND

In the Premier League, Jeffrey Schlupp continued with his impressive display for Crystal Palace in their 3-1 win over Burnley in the Premier League. Schlupp played the full throttle for his club whilst fellow compatriot Jordan Ayew was unused substitute in the game

Cristian Astu played 12 minutes in Newcastle’s defeat by West Ham in the league

In the Championship, Albert Adomah played 90 minutes for Aston Villa in their 4-0 win over Derby

Andy Yiadom lasted 90 minutes for Reading as they defeated Ipswich by 2-1 away

In League One, Tarique Fosu was introduced into the game for Charlton Athletic in the 61st minute as drew 1-1 against Doncaster

Joe Dodo was introduced into the game in the 75th minute for Blackpool as they lost heavily to Bristol Rovers  by 4-0

In League Two, Hiram Boateng played 23 minutes for Exeter City in their 1-0 defeat by Tranmere

Koby Arthur lasted  79th minutes as Macclesfield Town lost the game by 3-0 against Bury . Enock Andoh was left out of Macclesfield matchday squad.

In the National League, Bernard Mensah played 90 minutes for Aldershot in their 2-0 win over Gateshead

Nana Owusu and Ofori-Twumasi Nana  were unused substitutes in Maidenhead 2-1 loss to AFC Fylde

SPAIN

Kevin-Prince Boateng was not included in Barcelona's match day squad against Real Madrid in the El Clasico

Mubarak Wakaso was introduced into the game in the 84th  minute as Alaves picked an away win against Villareal

In the Segunda Division, Sulley Muntari was unused substitute Albacete Balompie in their 1-0 defeat by Cadiz CF

 

ITALY

Kwadwo Asamoah was substituted in the 82nd minute as Inter Milan lost to Cagliari by 2-1.

Afriyie Acquah lasted 63 minutes for Empoli as they were held to a draw against Parma at home. The game ended 3-3

Yusif Rahman Chibsah lasted 75 minutes for Frosinone Calcio as they lost 3-2 against AS Roma at home

Claud Agyapong warmed the bench  for Sassuolo as they lost by a lone goal against AC Milan. Alfred Duncan missed the game due to suspension

In Serie B, Bright Addai played 90 minutes for Ascoli as they drew 1-1 against Carpi. Bright received a booking in the game

In the Serie C, Ransford Selasi warmed the bench for Fano Juventus as they drew at home against Albinoleffe

FRANCE

Lawrence Ati-Zigi conceded four goals in post as Sochaux lost to As Nancy in the Ligue 2

GERMANY

Derrick Luckassen missed Hertha Berlin 2-1 win over Mainz due to injury Issah Abass was not included in Mainz O5 sqaud

Kassim Nuhu Adams was shown a red card as Eintracht Frankfurt came from behind to beat TSG Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga on Saturday.  The 23-year old was giving his marching orders in the 65 minute after a second bookable offence.

In the Bundesliga II, Gideon Jung was not included in Heindenham’s match day squad against Regensburg

Bernard Tekpetey played 90 minutes and received a yellow card for Paderborn as they lost at home to St.Pauli

In the Budesliga III, Bernard Kyere lasted 63 minutes for Fortuna Koln in their 2-2 draw against Kaiserslautern.  Team mate Christopher Antwi was not included in the match day squad

Daniel-Kofi Kyereh and Agyemang Diawusie featured for SV Wehen in their 1-1 draw against Mephen. Daniel Kofi Kyere got the equalizer for Wehen in the 90th minute

Braydon Manu enjoyed 90 minutes for Hallescher in their 4-0 win over Uerdingen

Kelvin Weidlich played 90 minutes for Energie Cottbus as they held Grossaspach to a draw

 

THE NETHERLANDS

Dauda Mohammed lasted 32 minutes in the game for Vitesse as his side defeated Breda by 4-1

Leeroy Owusu played 90 minutes for De Graafschap as they drew 1-1 against Den Haag

Cody Gakpo was introduced in the game in the 75th minute for PSV as his side picked an away victory against Excelsoir

In the Eerste Divisie, Asumah Abubakar was introduced into the game for Maastricht in the 87th minute as they lost to G.A Eagles

Kevin Luckassen was not included in Almere City squad against Eindhoven

 

BELGIUM

Bernard Kumordzi played 90 minutes for KV Kortrijk in their 2-1 win over Cercle Brugge

Nana Ampomah missed Waasland-Beveren game against Oostende due to injury.

Joseph Aidoo and Joseph Painstil were both unused substitutes in KRC Genk game against Charleroi which ended in a draw

Samuel Asamoah and Elton Acolatse lasted the entire duration for Sint Truiden in their 1-0 defeat by Club Brugge

BULGARIA

Samuel Inkoom warmed the bench for Dunav Ruse as they drew 1-1 against Botev Plovdiv

 

CROATIA

Maxwell Acosty lasted 73 minutes for NK Rijeka as they won 2-0 over Istra 1961 in the HNL. Regan Obeng played 90 minutes for the losing side

Nasiru Moro was not included in NK Gorica match day squad over the weekend

 

CZECH REPUBLIC

Emmanuel Antwi played full period of action for Pribram as they won 2-1 against Karvina

HUNGARY

Reagy Ofosu lasted 87 minutes for Haladas in their 3-1 win over Honved.

 

MEXICO

Clifford Aboagye played full throttle for Atlas in their 3-1 loss against Club Tijuana

SERBIA

Richmond Boakye Yiadom played 90 minutes for Red Star Belgrade as they were held to a draw by Partizan at home. Rashid Sumaila was left out of the matchday squad.

Samuel Owusu scored for Cukaricki in their 2-1 win over Sp. Subotica

SCOTLAND

Thomas Agyepong missed Hibernian game against Celtic in the FA Cup due to injury

SLOVAKIA

Benson Annang was left out of MSK Zilina match squad in their 2-1 win over Moravce.

Edmund Addo and Patrick Addo both warmed the bench for Senica in their 1-0 defeat by Dun. Streda.

Mohammed Lamine scored for Trencin as they drew 1-1 against Podbrezova.

Sadat Sulley played full throttle for Michalovce as drew against Ruzomberok

 

SWEDEN

Nasiru Mohammed lasted 87 minutes for Hacken BK in their 1-0 win over Brommapojkarna. Kwame Kizito was unused substitute in the game for Hacken BK.

SWITZERLAND

In the Challenge League, Kwadwo Duah warmed the bench for Servette in their game against Aarau

TURKEY

Bernard Mensah was substituted in the 32nd minute in Kayerispor game against Besiktas which ended 2-2. Mensah is likely to be out for a month. Asamoah Gyan was introduced in the dying minutes for Kayerispor

Andre Ayew lasted 33 minutes for Fenerbache in their 3-2 win over Rizespor
