Juventus goalkeeper Mattia Perin believes that his new employers are one of Europe’s most elite football clubs.
The former Genoa man moved to the Allianz Stadium this summer, though has yet to make his debut for the team who can now boast Cristiano Ronaldo amongst their number.
“Cristiano is the best in the world,” he claimed, “and being able to learn from him will be a bonus for us, for the players and for Serie A which is now back amongst the top two or three leagues in the world.
“The deal surprised me, but I thought it was possible because Juventus are on that level with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern [Munich].”
Perin made almost 150 Serie A appearances for the Grifone before his move to Turin but admits that he does not know if he will be given the starting role ahead of Wojciech Szczesny for the new season as the Bianconeri look to move on from Gianluigi Buffon.
