Pjaca: Fiorentina will be going out to beat Napoli

Published on: 14 September 2018

Fiorentina have impressed many this Serie A season and with a trip to face last season’s runners-up Napoli awaiting them this coming weekend, Marko Pjaca says that La Viola will be trying to win.

Napoli suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Sampdoria in their last outing, while Fiorentina edged Udinese 1-0 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

“Napoli are strong and it’ll be a difficult match,” the No.10 told Sky Sport Italia, “but we have started the season very well and want to continue like this.

“I think they are Scudetto contenders and a team that always want to win, always.

“At the same time, Fiorentina can win this game and that’s what we want to do.”

Pjaca was also asked about the decision of Lega Serie A to allow La Viola to wear a customised captain’s armband in honour of Davide Astori, which is something he is behind.

“It’s very important for the team and the club that we can all remember him with this armband,” he said.
