Alhaji Sannie will be the only omission in Ghana's U-23 side to play Cameroon in the semi finals of the All Africa Games on Wednesday.

The AshGold midfielder who picked up an ankle injury in the first match against South Africa has failed to make a recovery in time to face the defending champions.

Morale in camp ahead of the big game at this point is uncertain following false reports on Tuesday accusing the team of theft.

The Black Meteors has had to encounter several setbacks in the build-up to the games and was further exacerbated upon the team's arrival in Maputo.

At a point, the team was asked to share a 10-room apartment at a seminary with the female U-20 team (the Black Princesses) of which they declined.

They rather offered to hand the sub-standard rooms to the girls and chose to cramped themselves in the conference room without toilet facilities.

The team expected to win laurels for the nation had to sleep on mattresses and had to travel some distance to a Nun's post to access a toilet.

It took the intervention of some officials in Ghana to ensure the team's plight was eased a bit but at the cost of the Ghanaian tax payer.

Though the boys are determined to prove a point amidst all these difficulties, it goes without thought that these palpably false reports will somewhat dampen the team's spirits ahead of the epic tie.

But then there is also the argument that today's opponent, Cameroon have also encountered similar if not worse challenges of the Black Meteors in Mozambique, hence the need not to offer excuses in that breathe in the unfortunate event of a defeat.

Winner of Wednesday's second semi final will battle South Africa in the grand finale after the Amagluglug advanced on Tuesday following a 6-5 win in a pulsating penalty shootout on Tuesday against Senegal.
