Preview - Group F: Guangzhou Evergrande FC (CHN) v Daegu FC (KOR)

Guangzhou: Guangzhou Evergrande must claim all three points against Daegu FC at Tianhe Stadium on Wednesday if they are to take the second qualification spot in Group F of the 2019 AFC Champions League.

Currently in third place in the standings, two-time champions Guangzhou sit two points behind their K League opponents having suffered a 1-0 defeat to group winners Sanfrecce Hiroshima two weeks ago and they can now only progress with a win.

The hosts, who lost 3-1 in the reverse fixture in Korea Republic on Matchday Two, go into the game on the back of a 3-2 victory over Wuhan Zall on Friday that kept them in third place in the Chinese Super League.

Daegu have enjoyed an impressive debut campaign to date, with the 4-0 defeat of Melbourne Victory on Matchday Five meaning they have already picked up three wins ahead of the decisive match in southern China.

The 2018 Korean FA Cup winners will travel to Guangzhou with confidence after running out 2-1 victors over Incheon United in K League 1 on Sunday to move to fourth place in the standings as their stature continues to rise in their homeland.
