Tabriz: Defending champions Islamic Republic of Iran, Afghanistan, Thailand, Lebanon, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia and Iraq learnt their AFC U-20 Futsal Championship IR Iran 2019 quarter-final opponents on Sunday.
With the identity of the last eight teams confirmed following the conclusion of Matchday Two on Saturday, the final round of matches on Sunday were to determine the quarter-final lineup.
Hosts Iran topped Group A after defeating Afghanistan 3-2 and will play Group B runners-up Lebanon in the quarter-finals on Tuesday.
Group B winners Thailand will face Afghanistan while Group C winners Japan will take on 2017 runners-up Iraq in an enticing tie while the fourth quarter-final will see Indonesia, who topped Group D, playing Vietnam.

Key Points
Afghanistan and Vietnam will be making their first appearance in the knockout stage. Two years ago, both teams narrowly missed out on the quarter-finals after finishing third in their respective groups.
Three Southeast Asian teams - Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam - along with Iraq and Lebanon as the two West Asian representatives, all made it through the group stage.
