Ghanaian midfielder Ransford Selasi has been ruled out of Lugano FC Swiss Super League match against Thun.

The 23-year-old joined the Black and White lads on a six-month loan deal from Italian Serie A giants Juventus last week.

He moved to the Cornaredo Stadium to enjoy regular playing minutes after largely warming the bench since joining from Pescara Calcio in the summer.

Selasi has trained all week and was expected to mark his debut in their Sunday's league clash against FC Thun but has been ruled out due to illness.

The Ghanaian midfielder suffered a flu syndrome after Thursday's training session but is expected to make a swift recovery before their next game against Young Boys.

Selasi made four appearances for Juventus' Serie C side in the first half of the season.
