Sporting Director of Real Valladolid Miguel Ángel Gómez has says his outfit are eager to keep Mohammed Salisu but are not ruling out any last minute transfer offer.

The rookie centre-back is reportedly being watched by a host of interested clubs from around Europe, as they all look to do business with the Violet and White lads in the winter trading period.

Salisu is believed to have a €12 million release clause, which is why he is attracting so much attention from so many interested clubs.

According to reports, other than Newcastle, Premier League clubs Manchester United, Everton, Southampton and Norwich are monitoring the player.

However, Real Valladolid are yet to receive a concrete offer for the Ghanaian youngster but the club's chief claims they have embraced themselves for any last minute bid.

"He will continue , he is very committed and except last-minute scare he will remain with us safe until the end of the season," Gómez replied.

He has registered one assist and scored one goal in 21 league games this season.
