Rhodes sends Boro top

Middlesbrough's new £9m man got his first goal for the club to send the Teessiders top of the English Championship last night.

Middlesbrough travelled to MK Dons on the back of a three-game winless run and a lack of confidence was evident from the off. Dons took the lead as a mishit Dean Bowditch shot somehow made its way under Boro keeper Dimi Konstantopoulos and it looked as though that might be enough for all three points. However, Boro's deadline day striker Jordan Rhodes came off the bench to dramatically snatch a 93rd minute equaliser and send Boro to the top of the table.
