Franck Ribery says it won't be easy to say goodbye to Bayern Munich after confirming he will be leaving at the end of the season.
The 36-year-old has spent the last 12 years with the German giants having arrived from Marseille in the summer of 2007 and it has been a highly successful relationship with Ribery collecting 21 trophies.
The French winger has won eight Bundesliga titles and could make that nine this term with the Bavarians now 1/40 to retain their crown after moving four points clear of second-placed Borussia Dortmund with Saturday's 3-1 win over Hannover.
Ribery was on target in that game, his 123rd goal in 422 appearances for Bayern, and afterwards announced he would be leaving the club when his contract expires in the summer.
Ribery joins fellow veteran Arjen Robben in leaving the Allianz Arena at the conclusion of this season and says it will be tough to close the chapter on such a large part of his career.
"When I came to Bayern, it was a dream come true. It won't be easy to say goodbye, but we must never forget what we've achieved together," said Ribery.
"I won more than 20 trophies and, of course, I hope we can add another Bundesliga title and the DFB-Pokal at the end of this season. That would be great for me personally and my family and, of course, for the fans too.
"When I joined Bayern the relationship was immediately great. I always want to do special things for the fans when I'm on the pitch. I always want to play well because it feels so good to wear this jersey. I always wanted to get the jersey really wet for my club.
"The fans know I have heart and that I'm honest, we always had a good relationship. It's incredible to think I was here for 12 years and it's tough for me and the fans, but we cannot forget all the things we experienced together."
Bayern can wrap up the title with a win at RB Leipzig next week and are 3/4 to get the three points.
Leipzig are 7/2 and the draw is 11/4.
