Roma have completed the loan signing of Ervin Zukanovic from Sampdoria with the option to make the move permanent.
The 28-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international full-back turned down a move to the Bundesliga with Stuttgart in favour of a move to the Giallorossi and the chance to play Champions League football.
Vincenzo Montella’s Blucerchiati will receive an initial loan fee of â¬1.2 million with a figure close to â¬3M agreed should the move be successful and made permanent in the summer.
“Everyone dreams of playing for a big club like Roma and now I have succeeded in doing this,” the former Chievo man told Roma TV.
“For me, this is a great achievement and I’m very happy to be here.”
Zukanovic will join fellow international teammates Edin Dzeko and Miralem Pjanic in the capital.
