Roma forward Diego Perotti believes the Giallorossi have what it takes to cause an upset when the club face Real Madrid at the Stadio Olimpico in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The 27-year-old Argentine winger has been in impressive form following his January transfer from Serie A rivals Genoa.
“Real Madrid are one of the favourites to win the tournament, as well as Bayern Munich and Barcelona,” Perotti told Radio Marca on Monday.
“Having said that, playing at the Olimpico in Rome is never easy. We have the ability to eliminate Zidane’s team. We are capable of causing an upset, but we will have to exert pressure on their midfielders.”
Perotti has scored once and created another goal during his three appearances for the capital club since his arrival before the closure of the January transfer window.
