Roma coach Luciano Spalletti has targeted a loan renewal for on-loan Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny during the summer transfer window.
The 57-year-old has been impressed with the form and commitment of the Poland international shot-stopper since his arrival at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on a season-long loan deal in July.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, the Giallorossi sporting director Walter Sabatini will open negotiations with the North London club at the end of the current season and is hoping to secure the services of the former Legia Warsaw player for another year.
Szczesny has a contract with the Gunners until the end of the 2017/18 season but has fallen behind Petr Cech and David Ospina in the battle for a starting berth under Arsene Wenger at the Premier League club.
