The love story of Asante Kotoko and striker Sadick Adams has been so romantic that the outspoken forward wish to stay on at the club till the end of his career.
Adams, one of the most vilified - yet most cherished players of the current Kotoko squad appears to have loved the wind blowing in the Kumasi club and wants to end his career there.
Speaking on GTV’s Sports Lite show with Veronica Commey, Adams acknowledged his love for the Porcupine Warriors revealing he’s been a great fan of the club since his academy days with Ajax Academy in Obuasi.
“I have been a Kotoko fan since my days with the AshGold Academy in Obuasi. I am not saying this because it is the club am playing for now but it’s been the club I have always wished to play for,” Sadick said on the show.
Asked whether he will leave the club if another club presents a good offer, Sadick said “That will depend on the offer and whether Kotoko will be ready to let me go. But I wish I could play for life,” he added.
Sadick recently weaved his way into the hearts of Kotoko fans following his incredible hat trick in the FA Cup final against bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak to lift the trophy for the Porcupine Warriors.
Despite joining the season half way, Sadick scored 10 goals in 18 appearances for the club in all competitions.
