Samuel Ocran boosts El Gounah survival in Egypt

Ghanaian midfielder Samuel Ocran boosted the survival hopes of struggling El Gounah with an 81st minute header in a cruising 2-1 win over giants Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League.

The 27-year-old headed home set piece specialist, Hassan Gomaa's pinpoint cross to give ensure Ryszard Komornicki's men pick their first maximum points in four games and to move 12th place on the log.

Gounah, the host opened the scoring just 13 minutes into the game through left-back Hassan Gomaa who fired a magnificent strike.

But the table-topper drew level through Shikabala on the 65th minute.

As the game appeared to be heading for a stalemate, Ocran conjured a magic for the home fans.

Set piece expert Gomaa whipped in a pinpoint cross to Ocran, who easily headed in past Abdul-Wahed nine minutes from time.
