Ghanaian striker Samuel Owusu scored to help bottom-placed Ghazl Al Mehalla claim their first point of the season in a draw 2-2 with Petrojet in Egypt.

The burly forward connected home a powerful cross from winger Ahmed Magdi on the half hour mark on Thursday in the Egyptian top-flight.

Owusu's strike cancelled out Burkina Faso international Mohamed Koffi's 20th minute opener.

Mostafa Hegab then grabbed the second for Mehalla but Koffi scored again on 80 minutes to pick a point for Petrojet.
