With the curtain having come down on another LaLiga Santander season, it's now time to reveal the last LaLiga Fantasy MARCA Best XI of the campaign.
On this occasion, our formidable-looking lineup features representatives from no fewer than seven different clubs: Valencia CF, Real Betis, SD Huesca, RCD Espanyol, Getafe CF, RC Celta and Sevilla FC. The man to scoop the final Player of the Matchday honours of the season is Martin Mantovani. The Huesca defender put in a 17-point display against Leganes, in which he bagged a brace to ensure that the relegated Aragonese outfit bid farewell to the top flight with a win. The team amassed a total of 145 points.
Getting the nod between the Best XI sticks is Jaume Domenech. The Valencia shotstopper was Los Che's standout performer as he pulled off a string of notable saves in his side's away triumph over R.Valladolid CF to collect 11 points. Lining up in front of him is a three-man backline featuring Junior (15), the aforementioned Mantovani (17) and Roberto Rosales (15).
Following on from their eye-catching result against Real Madrid, the dominant force in the middle third are Betis, with the Andalusian side's Andres Guardado (13) and William Carvalho (11) joined byFrancisco Portillo (12) and Dani Parejo (13), all of whom played key roles in seeing their teams come out on top in their respective games.
Last but not least, this dream team's forward line is simply bursting with talent, withBen Yedder (14), Iago Aspas (13) and Jorge Molina(11) doing enough to land places in the side thanks to a combined four-goal haul across the final round of games.
