Substitute Jeffrey Schlupp scored his second league goal of the season for Crystal Palace to set up a nervy finale in their 3-2 defeat at West Ham United on Saturday.

The Ghana international headed in a cross from the left to reduce their goal deficit to one  with 14 minutes to go.

Schlupp last scored for the Eagles back in August in the 2-0 away win at Fulham.

James McArthur gave Palace the lead on six minutes and Robert Snodgrass bent a beautiful effort in from just outside the box to equalize

Goalkeeper Hennessey managed to push away a free kick from Anderson only for Palace’s defence to stand still as Javier Hernandez pounced and lashed the ball into the roof of the net from close range.

And in the 66th minute Anderson made it 3-1 to cap a superb sweeping surge forwards by The Hammers.
