Muntari is reported to have wept when he was handed his sacking letter

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari broke down in tears when he was handed the letter expelling him from the Black Stars World Cup camp in Brazil on Thursday morning.

According to reports in the Ghanaian media the AC Milan wept uncontrollably when team-manager Sabahn Quaye handed him the missive announcing the decision to expel him.

Muntari was sent home early on Thursday morning after physically ATTACKING Moses Armah, a member of the GFA's executive committee.

Muntari is known for his passion for playing for Ghana but his temper and strange has action have all too often let him down while playing for the Black Stars.

He was nearly expelled from Ghana's camp at the 2010 World Cup but several appeals from the management of the team as well as players prevented the then coach Milovan Rajevac from sacking him.

The GFA released a similar brief for Muntari's expulsion on Thursday revealing that he attacked a management member of the Ghana FA.

"The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has suspended Sulley Ali Muntari indefinitely from the Black Stars with immediate effect." They said.

"The decision was taken in the wake of his unprovoked physical attack on an Executive Committee member of the GFA and a management member of the Black Stars, Mr. Moses Armah on Tuesday 24th June, 2014 during a meeting.

"Muntari’s accreditation for the 2014 World Cup has been withdrawn with immediate effect."
