Swansea City are eager to cut off their Ghanaian duo of Andre and Jordan Ayew from their wage bill during the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Walesonline, the wages of the sons of Ghana legend Abedi Pele are proving unsustainable for the club who now play in the English Championship.

The report claims new chairman Trevor Birch will discuss each player's situation with first team boss Graham Potter and head of recruitment Kyle Macaulay before the decision is made.

Swansea sent the two players out on season-long loan deals last year after their relegation from the English Premier League to help manage their expectations.

But Andre- currently with Turkish giants Fenerbahce - is contracted with Swansea until the summer of 2021,

He signed a three-and-a-half year deal when he returned to South Wales from West Ham for a club record fee in January 2018.

Jordan, who joined Crystal Palace on loan last summer , sees his current contracts with the Swans expire next year.

Crystal Palace who are keen on the Ghana star are confident Jordan will be a decent squad player next season, with top-flight status virtually assured for another campaign.

Palace are not the only team linked to the Ghana star. Agents close to the player have told Ghanasoccernet.com that Southampton have also targeted Ayew for next season.

Southampton could land him for a small transfer amount as his parent club Aston Villa want him off their payroll to reduce their wage bill.

Ayew spent this season on loan at Crystal Palace where he failed to make an impression.

The attacker is looking forward to a good Nations Cup after Ghana qualified for the competition in Egypt this June.

The 27-year-old has been named in Ghana's squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
