New Fiorentina forward Cristian Tello has revealed that the Gigliati will fight for the Scudetto until the end of the season.
The Viola currently sit in third place on the league table with 41 points, leaving them six points behind league leaders Napoli, and the 24-year-old is proud to have the opportunity to help his new team battle for the top spot during the second half of the campaign.
Tello spoke to Sky Sport Italia on Thursday about his mission to succeed at Fiorentina and admitted that he’s very happy to be playing in Italy with the Stadio Franchi outfit.
“I chose the Viola because they have shown a great interest in me,” said the Spaniard, who just recently arrived at Fiorentina on a six-month loan from Barcelona in January.
“I’m very proud to be in such a prestigious team. Now I hope to achieve great satisfaction in this shirt.
“I’m sure we can fight for the title until the end of the season.”
