Striker Ahmed Toure will once again be contesting the Most Valuable Player award at the maiden MTN FA Cup awards slated for Sunday.

The Asante Kotoko player fresh from winning the Premier League's Best Player award will be doing battle against Heart of Lions midfielder Gladson Awako, Lawrence Lartey and Prince Baffoe both of Nania FC.

However, it is second tier club Nania FC who leads the charge for honours with several nominations.

Maestro Abedi Pele will be contesting the Best Coach award against Orlando Wellington, Musah Asumah and Nuru Ahmed of Nania FC, Berekum Chelsea, Bolga Stars and Wa All Stars respectively.

Nania captain Lawrence Lartey was also nominated for the tournament’s best defender award, facing competition from central defensive partner Abrahziz Abankwa amongst others, whilst Michael Sai has also been nominated for the top goalkeeper award.

Sensational Prince Baffoe will be contesting in the Discovery of the Tournament Category alongside Alex Anim (Sporting Mirren, Michael Anaba (Windy Professionals), Abass Adams (Tema All Stars) and Jacob Apau (Medeama SC).
