Ghana Football Association has confirmed that three players from the Ghana World Cup team sought permission before leaving camp early for various reasons.

John Mensah, Sulley Muntari and Derek Boateng all left the Black Stars base in South Africa on Sunday ahead of the arrival of the main delegation.

But their absence in camp has caused some anxiety in the local media over suspected indiscipline but nerves have been calmed.

Mensah announced his decision to join his family in the UK and sort out pressing issues in Europe which is likely to be his club future.

Muntari positively surprised the authorities when he sought permission to travel to Accra a day early to solve similar issues as Mensah.

Boateng, whose future stay with Spanish side Getafe is uncertain because of his impressive showing last season, was also cleared to leave under similar circumstances.

They are also expected to have talks with their clubs over their future as the news season in Europe is approaching fast.
