Contractors undertaking the Fifa Goal IV project in Prampram have assured the facility will be completed by mid June, GHANAsoccernet.comunderstands.

The assurance was given after Fifa’s director in charge of West Africa Sampon Kablan visited the site on Monday.

The Fifa representative was said to be unimpressed with the pace of work at the Ghanaman Soccer School of Excellence.

He went on to pour his disappointment at the rate of progress of the facility which includes a training pitch and a classroom block which eventually prompted the assurance from the contractors.

Ghana benefitted from the academy’s construction which began last year as Fifa Goal IV project having successfully completed the previous three.

The Goal project is a Fifa initiative aimed at providing funds for the improvement of football infrastructure in developing countries.
