United complete James deal

Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Daniel James from Swansea City.

The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with the Red Devils in recent months and has penned a five-year deal at Old Trafford, subject to international clearance.

James made his debut for the Swans in February 2018 and went on to earn his first senior cap for Wales nine months later against Albania.

Manchester United is the perfect place for me to continue to develop.

The Beverley-born starlet scored five goals in 38 appearances in the 2018-19 campaign, becoming a key player at the Liberty Stadium.

Wednesday's news means he becomes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first signing in charge of the Red Devils and the Norwegian believes he has "all the attributes" to thrive at Old Trafford.

James will join up with his new team-mates in the coming weeks when the United players return for pre-season and the winger admits he is excited about his fresh start in the top flight.

"This is one of the best days of my life and a challenge I am really looking forward to," he told the club's website. "The Premier League is the best league in the world and Manchester United is the perfect place for me to continue to develop as a player.

"I am looking forward to working with Ole, meeting the team and getting started."

United are available at 25/1 to win the 2019-20 Premier League title, while they are Evens to finish in the top four.
