Ghanaian defender Kelvin Owusu Amoh scored a thumping goal to help Zambian side Zanaco come from behind to beat DC Motema Pembe 2-1 at home on Sunday in the CAF Confederation Cup.

It was Congolese side Motemba Pembe who took the lead in the 7th minute when Nkongo delivered a neat low shot past the goalkeeper.

The striker had raced into a beautiful ball planted behind the defense and he made no mistake to finish off the opportunity.

Zanaco made several unsuccessful attempts to snatch the equalizer and it was not until the 83rd minute when Amoh smashed the ball into the net after a long throw from the right was poorly cleared away, the defensive header falling straight into the Ghanaian’s path.

As if the drama wasn’t enough, the home side sent the stadium into frenzy with virtually the last kick of the game when Souleymanou smashed the ball home after Kamanga’s free-kick hit the crossbar.

The victory now pushes Zanaco to second in Group C with nine points, two ahead of Motema Pembe who drop to third and one behind leaders RS Berkane who are top with 10 points following their massive win over Esae, and are through to the last eight.
