WAFA celebrate midfielder Prosper Ahiabu for earning Black Satellites qualification to next year's AYC

Ghana Premier League side WAFA have eulogized their midfielder Prosper Ahiabu for scoring the important goal as the Black Satellites earn a 1-1 draw in Benin to qualify for the Africa Youth Championship next year. 

The midfielder scored five minutes from time to cancel a second half lead from the Benin team. Bio Odo Chabi had put the home side in the lead early in the second half.

The draw earned Ghana a 4-2 aggregate victory and a return to the championship after missing out two years ago.

Prosper Ahiabu's performances earned him some praises from his club, West Africa Football Academy. The midfielder and his teammate Ransford Danso were celebrated after Ghana qualified for the Africa Youth Championship in Niger next year.

"Our midfielder Prosper Ahiabu scored the equalizer for Ghana's U20 in their 1-1 draw with Benin in Cotonou on Sunday."

"The Black Satellites have now qualified to the 2019 Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Niger."

"Richard Danso also played for the Satellites in the entire qualification campaign," the club posted on social media.

The Black Satellites, who are two times African Champions failed to reach the last edition in Zambia two years ago hence missing the FIFA World Cup.

However, with qualification sealed, the team will now switch it's attention to qualifying for the World Cup.

Ghana joins Niger, Burkina Faso, Burundi , Mali,  Nigeria,  Senegal and South Africa for the Africa Youth Championship in Niger next year.
