WAFA SC could be without talisman Majeed Ashimeru for Saturday’s Ghana Premier League opener at home against giants Asante Kotoko.
The creative midfielder suffered an ankle injury during their first leg pre-season friendly against Togo’s home-based national team in Lome.
Ashimeru missed the last three warm-up games for the academy side and is being observed by the medical team.
The 18-year-old was one of the high performing teenagers in the Ghana Premier League last season.
