Orlando Wellington has accepted to go a step below by working as an assistant to Englishman Steve Polack at champions Berekum Chelsea.

The future of the ex-Heart of Lions boss has been hugely speculated in the local media following the arrival of the Polack.

But the former Ghana Under-20 head coach who spearheaded the club's league title winning campaign has no problem with the demotion.

"I have not been told anything but if he has come as the head coach, I am not bothered to work as his assistant,'' Wellington said.

"I am ready to work because the fact I work under him doesn't spoil anything. I don't see it as a decline in my career at all. It's all part of the game.''

He was adjudged the best coach for last season's Ghana Premier League.
