Bankroller of AshantiGold SC Dr. Kwaku Frimpong says his outfit are the best team in Ghana at the moment.
AshantiGold will engage regional rivals Asante Kotoko in a friendly encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The Obuasi-based outfit will be aiming to halt the well-oiled machine of coach Paa Kwesi Fabin's men following their back-to-back victories over sworn rivals Hearts of Oak in a two-legged friendly game.
According to the tough-talking majority shareholder of the Miners, his team are currently the best in the country and boastfully placed a bet with his Lamborghini that should they lose against the Porcupine he would leave it at the stadium.
“No Kotoko player is better than my players. We’re beating them this Sunday” Kwaku Frimpong affectionately called Champion told Metro FM on Friday morning.
The Ghanaian business mogul also declares Ashantigold as the best Ghanaian club currently.
“Ashantigold is the best club in Ghana right now. All others are behind us. In terms of player quality and everything we are ahead.” he said.
“We beat Hearts of Oak 3-1. Humbled Kotoko 2-0 in Obuasi and we are going to repeat that. Our performance is there for all to see” Champion boasted.
