West Ham United confirm capture of Lazio star

After a prolonged transfer negotiation between Lazio and West Ham United, Felipe Anderson is officially a Hammer having completed his move to the Premier League club.

The move is reportedly worth €38 million, which is lower than the prices originally floated around when the talks began last month. Lazio’s president Claudio Lotito is notoriously tough to deal with in the transfer market, so it is no surprise that talks for Anderson were dragged out.

“West Ham is a club with great tradition,” the Brazilian said on his unveiling, “many excellent players have played here.

“From Bobby Moore to Carlos Tevez and Paolo Di Canio.”

Felipe Anderson added that his desire was to “also become a club legend” during his stay in London.

The 25-year-old finished with 33 goals in five seasons for the Biancocelesti.

Lazio fans now wait to see how Lotito will spend this money to replace the hole in attack left by the Brazilian’s departure.
