Winner – Bologna

After just six points from their first nine games, I Veltri looked set for relegation. However, having garnered 20 points from their last 12 games in Serie A they now sit comfortably in mid-table. Much of this remarkable turnaround has to do with the impeccable coaching of Roberto Donadoni, who is a proven entity as a coach in Serie A.

His ability to get performances out of the likes of Emanuele Giaccherini have been crucial to the Rossoblu’s upturn in form. This weekend he was once again excellent as he scored a superb individual goal giving the Bologna the lead against Sassuolo.

It was his fifth in the league this season and he can continue driving at defences and being a pain in the backside I Veltri will surely be in Serie A next season.
