Striker Abel Manomey has rejoined Division One side Accra Great Olympics on a short term deal after making full recovery from injury.

The former Hearts of Oak forward signed a six month deal with the "wonder boys" ahead of the impending special Normalisation Committee tournament, which has seen 16 of the premier league clubs pull out over the format of the competition.

Manomey has been a key player for Great Olympics but injuries marred his first season in the topflight, where he scored six goals as the club suffered relegation in the 2017 season.

The strong forward was linked with moves to his former side Hearts of Oak, but the University of Education graduate has chosen to extend his stay with Olympics.

He scored 20 goals in 15 appearances for Great Olympics during his first stint with the club.

He was a member of the team that gained promotion to the topflight two seasons ago.
