Andre Ayew's dream of reaching the Group stage of this season's UEFA Champions League crashed on Tuesday night when Fenerbahce got eliminated at home by Benfica.
The Ghana international played the entire duration as the Yellow Canaries came from behind to draw 1-1.
Gedson Fernandes gave Benfica the lead in the 26th minute but Alper Potuk snatched the equalizer on the 45th minute mark.
Fenerbahce were evicted 2-1 on aggregate after losing the first leg 1-0 last week.
