St Truiden midfielder, Samuel Asamoah's received a second yellow card which saw him take an early shower over the weekend against Eupen.

The Referee's Department of the Belgium League has issued a statement that it was a  wrong decision by the referee to have sent the Ghanaian off for his goal celebration.

"Only lifting the shirt to show a message, while not taking the shirt off or covering the head, is not punished with a yellow card. That is an action that must be reported in the report of the referee," the Referee's Department explained on Asamoah's red card.

The 25-year old scored a hat-trick in the game and was immediately sent off after his goal celebration.

Asamoah during his third goal celebration covered his face with his shirt and had an inscription on his shirt, "It is all about Jesus".
