Bursaspor attempting to hijack Saint-Étienne's move for Ghana striker Majeed Waris

Turkish side Bursaspor are looking to disrupt Saint-Étienne's move for Majeed Waris by making a move for the Ghanaian striker.

The former Lorient player, who is one of those made available for transfer by FC Porto, looked to have sealed a one-year loan deal to the French Ligue 1 side.

However, according to the Turkish press, Bursaspor have shown interest and could even divert him from France.

It is recalled that Waris was an old acquaintance of Porto manager Sérgio Conceição in the French League, but never managed to convince the Dragon Court last season, which culminated in the title.

Waris scored no goals for FC Porto in eight appearances.
