Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has laughed off reports suggesting that his salary at AC Milan will be slashed after he suffered a serious injury while on holidays.

Reports in the Italian media over Sunday suggested that the Serie A side are considering halving his salary after he got himself injured in his native Ghana while on summer holidays.

Corriere dello Sport reported that angry AC Milan management are dropping his annual salary from €3 million to €1.7 million because of the cost the club has incurred over the injury.

But the Ghanaian international has mocked the report insisting the report should not be believed.

"Never believe everything you read. Wait to hear it from the horse's mouth. Feeling good and raring to go. God is great!," Muntari wrote on his official facebook page.

Muntari will be out of action for at least five months after suffering ligament damage while playing football on the beach with friends in Accra during his summer break.

The 27-year-old midfielder joined Milan on loan from Inter last January.

The former Udinese and Sunderland midfielder made 13 appearances for AC Milan last season, scoring three goals.
