Ex-Ghana FA boss Tamakloe rips into Black Stars - they lack stamina

Former Ghana FA boss Nyaho Tamakloe has taken a swipe at the Black Stars saying they lack tremendous stamina.

Ghana suffered a painful 1-0 loss to Zambia in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers just days after a 7-0 demolition of Lesotho.

The loss to the African champions where the team looked desperately impotent has drawn numerous criticisms with the professional physician wading in.

“We lack tremendously in stamina,” he stated.

“I think we have to be careful. Football these days is stamina; if you don’t have stamina, forget it. Football is a relatively youth game.”

The defeat to the Chipolopolo leaves the Black Stars second in Group D a point behind leaders Sudan with four games left to go.

Ghana is looking to make their third successive World Cup appearance with qualification to the finals in Brazil.
